WARREN ROAD, TORQUAY
CONSERVATION AREA
The central core was constructed as a Victorian private residence in 1839 but by 1851 two extensions were added and further works were carried out when it became a hotel, circa 1900.
The property was completely run down for hotel use – however it was situated in a Conservation Area and at the rear faced South with splendid views over Torre Abbey Sands below.
A conservation and feasibility report was prepared and Planning Permission was obtained to convert the building into 13 no luxury flats.
The South façade contains much glass and terrace areas to take maximum advantage of the splendid views. Solar heating is provided to supply the communal areas. There is underground parking for 13 No cars.
